• Mitzvah Day 19

“It is our illusions that create the world”

    ~Didier Cauwelaert~

Some of you may have noticed I have not been posting my daily mitzvahs. Let me assure you I am doing them, it was just seeming so tedious to post them here on a daily basis especially with the amount of client previews and jobs I had this past week.

Today I did a mitzvah just for me. I honored my photography dream. I did my video and I submitted it to MeRa Koh’s SOAR scholarship for 2010. Whether or not I am chosen as one of the 3 final applicants I can definitely say I am proud of what I did today. For having faith and taking this leap.

Congrats on going for it and getting your video submitted! I really like today's photo since you took me back to my childhood. One of my favorite dime store (today it would be the dollar store) purchases was a colorful, cardboard Kaleidoscope. I would spend hours fixated on the fragmented images of things around the house. The patterns were fascinating and gave me a different way of looking at my surroundings. You can let your camera be your Kaleidoscope quite literally, as in this photo, but also as you capture the fragments of daily life by offering your perspective through the camera lens. Keep on clicking!

How wonderfully trippy this image is.You have definitely been working hard lately.Credit to you to attending to all these things, and I'm sure that you're learning more and more with every minute of it.
